Place these items in the Recycling Container |
Paper
- Paper (staples and paper clips ok), junk mail, computer and copy paper, catalogs, brochures, envelopes (windows ok), magazines, newspaper, ream wrappers, telephone books, paper boxes (liner removed) gift wrap (no foil or ribbon), shredded paper (put in clear plastic bag - tie securely)
- Cardboard (flattened)
- Poly-coated paper drink boxes* (soy and juice,
rinsed), frozen food boxes (clean),
milk cartons (rinsed), juice cartons
and ice cream cartons (rinsed,
no lids)

Plastics
- Plastic bottles, jugs and jars (water, pop, milk)
Empty and
rinsed, no caps.
- Plastic dairy tubs* (yogurt, margarine)
Empty and
rinsed, no lids.
- Plastic retail bags
Bagged in one plastic bag, tied securely.
- Plastic film, shrinkwrap, bubble wrap
Bagged in one plastic bag, tied securely.

Metals
- Aluminum cans
Empty and
rinsed.
- Tin cans
Empty and
rinsed.
- Scrap metals (size limit: 2' x 2' x 1'',
35 lbs max)
No sharp metal or greasy parts.

| * Not sure if a carton or box is poly-coated? Use the scratch and tear test. If you scratch it and see wax, throw it into the Garbage. If you tear it and see a thin layer of plastic-coated paper, rinse, flatten and recycle!
