Where to Recycle Unusual Items
Computer and Electronics Recycling
Computers, TVs and other electronics contain hazardous materials and are not allowed in commercial garbage or recycling. Allied Waste Services, Seattle is a member of the Take it Back Network, an organization providing responsible recycling of electronic materials.
Allied Waste Services, Seattle's 3rd and Lander Transfer Station and Black River Transfer Station accept these items for a fee.
Other Unusual Items
Many local businesses accept large appliances, scrap metal, motor oil, Styrofoam peanuts and other materials not accepted in the Recycling Program. For more information on where to recycle unusual items, please call the Resource Venture at 206-389-7304.
