If you participate in the food scrap and food soiled paper collection program you can keep yard debris carts cleaner by using approved compostable kitchen bags or newspaper to collect food scraps. The small amount of excessive liquid you may have remaining can be wiped away with a paper towel. When rinsing out containers, collect the water in a bucket and empty it into a utility sink or toilet.

  • Get a compostable bag sample by contacting Allied Waste either by email or by phone. Click on the "Contact Customer Service" link at the left column of this page.

Never put yard debris in your garbage! It is unlawful to put yard debris in the garbage. Garbage with yard debris mixed in will not be collected.
